If you are not sure which package to download, try the 'Complete' package which contains everything.

As of version 1.1 all binary packages come with all dependencies included. To try out a package just download a binary version (emssXXXX-1.x-linux|win|osx.xxx), extract the contents, and run any application contained within the bin folder.

This package contains all the components of the emss framework: Core, Interface, and Test Applications.

This is the emss Core package which includes the entire emss framework library: libemssCore. This package does not include an interface and must be downloaded seperately. The binary files are useful if you wish to only link against the emss framework without compiling it yourself. If you are interested in starting your own emss project, this is the recommended package.

This is the standard interface (emssInterface) used for initializing a emssCore and all the appropriate GUI widgets. The interface is a good building block for those that want to create their own interface for the emss Core. The binary versions of the package include the emss Core binary for your convenience.

Some of these applications prove useuful if you are just interested in controlling and diagnosing your iRobot Create.
